Description
English: In 1912 pioneer contractor Manuel Gonzalez built his family home on Broadway adjacent to the J Franklin Garner House which Gonzalez built in 1902. It is speculated that both houses contain lumber from the old fort which was a practice of Gonzalez. Both houses are two and a half story wood frame houses with metal roofs. In 1973 the Gonzalez and Garner houses were rehabilitated and are now The Verandah Restaurant located at 1722 Broadway.
