English: The Look Steak Shop opened in April 1950 in a tiny storefront at 21 N 8th Street, behind the Farr Building at the corner of 8th and Court Streets. Founded by Rose D. and George A Hararas, former owner of the Penn-Lunch restaurant at 335 Hamilton Street from which had opened in 1921. The restaurants signature item was a minute steak, sliced thin and served on a hard roll with a hot pepper outside the roll. The sauce was ladeled on top and there was melted cheese on top. The Look also offered 25 other sandwiches on the menu, along with barbecues and assorted salads. It also featured hand-cut french fries along with milkshakes. It also served breakfast, and for full meals chicken, prime rib, roast pork and baked Virginia ham. Hararas and his wife retired in 1988, and sold the restaurant to Joe Galley.

In May 1990, the restaurant moved to a larger building at the southwest corner of 8th & Linden (44 North 8th) after Louis Vati, who ran a custom tailoring shop there retired. Galey modified the 1890s Victorian storefront and the restraint continued serving Allentonians until he decided to retire in April 1999. He then sold the restaurant to Dino Mathioudia, and it was subsequently renamed the "New Look Steak Shop". The restaurant closed in 2002 when the "Allentown Arena", at Ninth and Hamilton Streets failed to be approved. Hararas passed in December 1994 at age 102, his wife previously in February 1983; Galey passed in May 2015.
