Aanvullende informatie via website kleinekerkstraat.nl: "De plaquette werd door de vereniging H.S.N. aangeboden en het woord daarbij werd gevoerd door de heren dr. S. Ferwerda en de voorzitter R.A. Feenstra.
De aanbieding had niet in 1932 plaats toen de sluiting van het laatste gat in de Afsluitdijk een feit werd, maar een jaar later, op 28 juni 1933. Dat kwam omdat er in 1932 nog maar een halve Raadhistoren stond en deze dus eerst weer moest worden opgebouwd.
In 1925 ging de toren scheefhangen en vreesde men, bij het luiden van het klokje, dat de toren in elkaar zou storten. Het duurde nog tot 1932 vooraleer met de restauratie kon worden begonnen."
