Description
Deutsch: Portal Obere Holdergasse 5 in Marbach am Neckar.

Geohrtes Portal aus Sandstein, im Rankenornament des Sturzes mit Inschrift und einer Brezel sowie gekreuzten Brotschiebern als Berufszeichen der Bäcker gekennzeichnet, 1706 bezeichnet, 1983 Restaurierung; erhaltenswert ist das dazugehörige dreigeschossige und verputzte Fachwerkhaus in Ecklage, Sockelzone und Erdgeschoss massiv mit Stall- und Kellereingang zur Straße sowie dem genannten Portal zur Sonnengasse, leichter Vorstoß zum zweiten Obergeschoss, Satteldach mit Schleppgauben, nach Bezeichnung 1706 wohl über älterem Kern neu erbaut, Umbauten im 19./20. Jahrhundert, 1996 Erneuerung einiger Fenster.

Das barocke Portal hat als Hauszugang mit seinem künstlerisch gestalteten Hauszeichen dokumentarischen Wert für das Selbstbewusstsein des Berufsstandes der Bäcker. Das Anwesen innerhalb der hauptsächlich giebelständigen Bebauung mit ackerbürgerlichen Anwesen und Scheunen auf der Südseite der Oberen Holdergasse veranschaulicht einen schlichten, aber typischen Wiederaufbau der Zeit um 1700.
