Deutsch: Wohn- und Geschäftshaus Marktstraße 40, Marbach am Neckar.
Zweigeschossiges Fachwerkhaus in Ecklage zu kleiner Gasse, Erdgeschoss massiv, an der Giebelseite aus Quadersteinen mit Ecklisenen und Ladeneinbau, traufseitig verputzt mit barockem Portal, Hauszeichen und Kellereingang, zum Obergeschoss stark vorspringend, Fachwerk an der Traufseite verputzt, Satteldach, nach Bezeichnung am Portal 1724 unter Verwendung der Reste eines kleineren Vorgängers neu erbaut, Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts Ladeneinbau mit zwei Gusssäulen, 1988 Instandsetzung der Fassade, 1992 Erneuerung der Fenster, 2003 Umbau und Sanierung. Die Position der drei unterschiedlich alten Keller verdeutlicht die stadtplanerischen Festlegungen nach dem Brand von 1693 zur Begradigung der Marktstraße. Das Anwesen innerhalb der Reihe giebelständiger Anwesen auf der Nordseite der unteren Marktstraße hat als im Kern barockes Gebäude mit seinen auf drei unterschiedliche Berufe verweisenden Handwerkszeichen dokumentarischen Wert als Beispiel eines kleineren Handwerkerhauses. Es ist zudem Zeugnis der Entwicklung der Marktstraße zur Geschäftsstraße im 19. Jahrhundert. |
