Ambernath is town located at around 1.5 hrs from CSMT (Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus).Ambernath is well populated with peoples.
In this town historical shiva temple is existing.from Ambernath station shiva temple away from 1.7 km (walkable distance is 20 minutes).The temple has excellent surrounding around it.this temple is build around E.D. 1600 .Temple has one of the oldest shrine of lord shiva from among the places or temples of lord shiva.Its exterior and interior walls are exqusitely carved images of Hindu idols,animals,hindu architecture.temple is under surveillance of CCTV cameras.
Architecture Of Temple - This temple is approximately 954 years old.temple has 3 layered plinth around it. in this campus their is small temple of lord ganesha and lord shiva also.there is many small small sculpture of sneck.temple has 4 steps and big decorative carved stone walls.around the temple there are another temple like lord durga mata and lord maruti.this construction started by Shilhara's king Chittaraja and completed by his son Amuni.
The main attraction of this temple is not only shrine of lord shiva but also lord bramha,lord vishnu,lord sun.this temple has swambhu (not made by man).lord shiva's shrine which is placed 3 foot below actual level of temple.
temple is situated on Bank of river vadvan (waldhuni river) Temple is completely made in stone. Temple is accessible by mean of rail road.any one can visit anytime to this temple. |
