Woven-bamboo basket crafting in Desa Sidetapa

English: As a mountain settlement, bamboo is one of Desa Sidetapa staples. Bamboo and bambooworking have many purposes for the Village's subsistence, range from economic to spiritual-transient purposes. Bamboo-weaving or [anyam bambu] became the Village's everyday routine, as the women of the Village may be seen to shave, trim, and weave bamboo on their porch.
Bahasa Indonesia: Sebagai permukiman di atas gunung, bambu merupakan barang pokok dan sumber daya utama penghidupan di Desa Sidetapa. Bambu dan kerajinan bambu memiliki banyak maksud dan kegunaan bagi hajat hidup Desa, mulai dari guna ekonomi hingga peruntukan spritual-transien (sembahyang). Anyam bambu menjadi kegiatan rutin Desa, dimana para wanita dapat terlihat meraut dan menganyam keranjang atau anyaman bambu lain di halaman depan rumah mereka.
