Amanita mairei Foley

Image location: Santa Foca, Parco delle Madonie, Sicily, Italy

Amanita mairei has a brown cap and more slender form.

This is more likely to be Amanita argentea. European field guides combined the two in the past. I have studied the types of both and seen the original watercolors of mairei and the original pencil sketches of argentea. They are very different species. This look as though it is argentea.
