Deutsch: Bei der Endenicher Pferdetränke handelt es sich um eine Kopie der Tränke, die auf dem Bonner Remigiusplatz steht. Die Tränke ist aus Bronze und nicht wie sonst üblich aus Gusseisen. Der Aufbau entspricht der üblichen Aufteilung mit drei unterschiedlich großen Brunnenschalen, die als Tiertränken dienen. Die untere Schale für Hunde, die mittlere für Pferde und die oberste für Vögel. Die Funktionen sind über die Pferdeköpfe, die als Wasserspeier dienen, die Vögel und die Löwenköpfe dargestellt.
Bis zum Zweiten Weltkrieg gab es an dieser Stelle einen Eisenbrunnen. Die von Sigrid Wenzel geschaffene Kopie wurde 1989 / 1990 aufgestellt und soll daran erinnern, dass hier die Endstation der Pferdebahn vom Bonner Markt nach Endenich lag. |
