Summary

[edit]
Description
English: An example of what appear to be survey markers found in Fort Tryon Park in Upper Manhattan along many of the pathways. The metal arrow is embedded in a cement block, and there may be some writing on it (although the marks may also be scratches). The markers I've found have all been right at the side of a pathway, so they may have been used to lay out the paths when the park was being built. The arrows do not point to the same place on the compass.
