Description
Deutsch: Auf der Trasse der vorgesehenen Ortsumgehung von Nottuln bei Münster in Nordrhein-Westfalen war am Harfelder Weg ein historischer Ziegelofen entdeckt worden, nachdem der Kampfmittelräumdienst Strukturen im Boden gefunden hatte. Bei der Anlage mit Abmessungen von neun Metern in der Länge und fünf Metern in der Breite handelt es sich um den am besten erhaltenen historischen Ziegelofen in ganz Westfalen. Sie war 70-80 cm in den Boden eingelassen und verfügte über sechs Schürgänge. Archäologen untersuchten das Industriedenkmal noch bis Ende März 2016, dann rückten die Straßenbauer an. Mittlerweile sind die Reste den Bauarbeiten zum Opfer gefallen. Das Bau- und Bodendenkmal wurde daraufhin im September 2016 aus der Denkmalliste von Nottuln ausgetragen. Möglicherweise war der Ofen im Anschluss an die Feuerkatastrophe von 1748 für den Wiederaufbau des Ortes für einige Zeit in Betrieb, vgl. z.B.: WN, WN-Printausgabe vom 16.02.2015
