2016-T135 : Finger Ring : Medieval
Description
English: A complete silver Finger Ring of Medieval date (AD 1350-1500). The object is composed of a circular band, D shaped in section with a flattened integral, rectangular bezel and tapering rectangular shoulders. The internal face of the band is undecorated. The shoulders and bezel of the outer face have an incised decoration and inscription comprised of the initials TS in the centre of the bezel with an arrow in each corner. The shoulders have broadly symmetrical incised patterns consisting of a single horizontal row of chevrons, below which is a repeating linear pattern with a vertically running row of chevrons as a boarder to either side.

The solder line of the butt joint is not visible on either face of the band.
