Description
Deutsch: Detail vom Kriegerdenkmal / Kriegerehrenmal Bad Lippspringe
Der Löwe auf Steinsockel ist das letzte erhaltene Stück des Provinzial-Kriegerdenkmals von 1884 aus Hannover. Die Bronzeteile des Kriegerdenkmals in Hannover wurden aufgrund eines Erlasses aus dem Jahr 1942 zum Einschmelzen abgegeben, überstanden den Zweiten Weltkrieg jedoch ohne eingeschmolzen zu werden. Letztendlich wurde einer der beiden Löwen in Bad Lippspringe aufgestellt. siehe [Gerhard Schneider: "... nicht umsonst gefallen"? : Kriegerdenkmäler und Kriegstotenkult in Hannover.
