Description

Sarcoxylon compunctum (Jungh.) Cooke, cut of a fruit body, you can see the perithecia

Image location: Ban Nathao Village, Paek, Xiengkhouang, Laos

Sarcoxylon compunctum. Dried specimen sent to Dr. Jack Rogers, who made final ID with comments of good and typical material. On relatively newly cut stem of probably Oak family. Photo’s of younger mycelium separately forwarded by Wihane on 2 Oct 2016.
