Description

Du vendredi 12 au lundi 15 aout 2016 sur la Grand-Place de Bruxelles (construction du tapis de fleurs le vendredi 12 aout).

Tous les 2 ans, pendant l'ete, un tapis de fleurs de begonias de 77 m x 24 m prend ses quartiers sur la Grand-Place. A chaque edition, une creation specifique est realisee. Pour reproduire les motifs, le dessin grandeur nature sera reporte sur une feuille plastique transparente et micro-perforee. Le tapis est ensuite realise par pres de 120 volontaires qui installent pres d'un million de begonias (a raison de 300 par m2). Le tout, en moins de 4 heures.

2016 marquera la creation du 20e tapis de fleurs qui sera dedie pour l'occasion au Japon. La Belgique celebre cette annee le 150e anniversaire de relations diplomatiques et amicales avec le Japon
