Hebeloma crustuliniforme (Bull.) Quél. Image location: Borovoye National Park, Akmola District, Kazakhstan Hebeloma crustuliniforme (Bull.) Quél., Cortinariaceae, Agaricales (Poison Pie = Гебелома клейкая или хреновый гриб) Cap: 3-7 cm wide, convex and often with indistinct wide knob then wide convex up to almost flatten with indistinct knob; whitish or yellowish-white minor orange-white up to dull orange-brown or light yellowish-brown when very old; margins are lighter than a cap top; surface smooth or glossy (slimy when wet);. Flesh is white when young, then brownish. Odour is unpleasant. Gills: almost free or attached with notched edge (pinching out end), whitish or light cream or some pinkish up to light brownish-pink or reddish-brown when old, close and narrow up to moderately broad with short and very short additional gills, often reddish-brown tiny drops of juice. Stalk: 3.5-7 cm long, 0.6-1.5cm thick, slightly fibrous and hollow (when old), white or whitish up to yellowish-white; upper half is somewhat hairy and silky. Edibility: poisonous or not edible. Habitat: scattered small groups in pine-tree forest with some birches Season: June-August Recognized by sight
