Polyporus cryptopus Ellis & Barthol.( = Polyporus rhizophilus) Image location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA Found in my pasture, growing apparently from the ground, after a few days of quite wet weather. Note the dirt around the base of the stipe. There were three small specimens growing in the same area, but not in a cluster. Used references
