Deutsch: 29.04.2015 03249 Sonnewalde, Schloßstraße 21: Renaissanceschloß Sonnewalde, Vorderschloß
(GMP: 51.695928,13.644221). Sonnewalde wurde 1255 erstmals erwähnt, dürfte jedoch weitaus älter sein. Die Herkunft derer von Sunnenwalde ist nicht mehr klärbar. Ursprünglich stand hier das Schloßensemble der Grafenfamilie zu Solms aus dem 16. Jahrhundert. 1947 fiel das Oberschloß / Hauptschloß (GMP: 51.697031,13.643586) einem Brand zum Opfer. Nach mehreren Besitzerwechseln wurde Sonnewalde 1537 an den Grafen Philipp von Solms-Lich verkauft, womit die Linie derer von Solms-Sonnenwalde begründet wurde, die bis 1918 die Standesherrschaft Sonnewalde innehatten und den Besitz bis zur Enteignung 1945 hielten. Graf Otto erbaute um die Wende vom 16. zum 17. Jahrhundert das Schloß mit großem Aufwand neu. Im Vorderschloß ist heute ein Heimatmuseum. Ansicht Nordseite.
