Unidentified (Lamiaceae?). I believe this plant to be a mint of some kind. Other than that I have no idea what it is. It has been growing in beside hillside steps for many years. It was undoubtedly planted by my wife once upon a time but I'm certain she never knew the English name of the plant. Photographed in a private garden in Berkeley, CA 9/8/2015—I have tentatively identified this plant as Thymus sp.—Thyme. Thanks to all who commented. |
