Description
English: The departure side of the old Temple Meads station at Bristol. Designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, passengers arrived at the station through an arch in the grey stone tower on the right. The next section contained locomotive and carriage servicing facilities then the platform was in the wider section with the castellated towers. Beyond this is the extension to the platforms which was added by Henry Lloyd in the 1870s.
