Deutsch: Die Altenberger Pinge (auch Altenberger Binge) ist eine durch Bergbau auf Zinnstein entstandene Pinge in Altenberg im Osterzgebirge. Der Hauptbruch ereignete sich 1620. Noch zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts hatte die Pinge nur eine Fläche von etwa 2,5 Hektar. Insbesondere ab etwa 1976 wurde sie durch intensiven Erzabbau wesentlich erweitert. Heute weist sie einen Durchmesser von durchschnittlich 400 m, eine Tiefe von etwa 130 m und eine Fläche von etwa 12 Hektar auf.
Die Pinge und einige zugehörige Bergbauanlagen sind Teil des UNESCO-Welterbes Montanregion Erzgebirge. Sie wurde 2006 als eines der 77 bedeutendsten nationalen Geotope ausgezeichnet.
English: The Altenberger Pinge (also Altenberger Binge) is a pinge created by mining on tin stone in Altenberg in the Eastern Ore Mountains. The main break occurred in 1620. At the beginning of the 19th century, the pinge only had an area of about 2.5 hectares. From about 1976 in particular, it was significantly expanded through intensive ore mining. Today it has an average diameter of 400 m, a depth of about 130 m and an area of about 12 hectares.
The Pinge and some of the associated mining facilities are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Ore Mountains Mining Region. In 2006 it was named one of the 77 most important national geotopes. |
