[edit]Description2013 Fiat Punto Easy Dualogic- $17,000AUD Drive Away - 13982328514.jpg |
English: We're currently looking at a second car, something small, automatic, economical and different, so nothing from the Japanese and the Koreans, which just leaves the Euro's. We've also looked at the Ford Fiesta Trend, but we just don't like the centre console layout of the vehicle and all those fussy buttons, plus with all those hard platics, it's not that inviting either. We've ruled out the Volkswagen Polo and Skoda Fabia, the Polo is boring and the Fabia is a little too quirky in the way it looks, though the Fabia RS would be fun. It really only leaves two contenders, the Renault Clio and Peugeot 208, but I've also thought about the Fiat Punto. While the Clio and 208, look great and stuffed full of features, the Punto Easy is too and is also some $6,000AUD cheaper. While the Clio Dynamique is the dearest at $23,000AUD, the 208 Allure is about $1,000AUD below the Clio and then there is the Fiat Punto Easy at $17,000AUD. So what are the main points in holding us back with the FIat? Well, it's got the least power and has that strange Dualogic transmission, which has received scathing reviews from every motoring critic! Has anyone driven a Punto Dualogic?? What is this transmission llike?? I have driven a Punto, but only a manual and I would go and take one for a test drive, but also at the same time, I don't want to waste anyones time at the dealership. What are peoples thoughts?? Will let you all know how we go in the next few weeks. |
