| Description |
English: Ugandan soldiers serving with the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) look on while an earth-mover operated by AMISOM combat engineers clears sand, debris and rubble from an area known as El-Gabta or 'Peace Gardens' in central Mogadishu. El Gabta will eventually become an open-air park area and gardens for people to use and relax in. The work is being carried out as part of a week-long programme of activities called Tarehe Sita, meaning the 6th day in Kiswahili, which marks the 32 years since the creation of the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF) on 06 February 1981, and will include the fumigation of buildings in Mogadishu, and providing clean drinking water and free medical check-ups and treatment for civilians.
