Description The Mohegan Tribe’s museum is the oldest Indian owned and operated museum in America. Gladys Tantaquidgeon along with her brother, Harold and father John, built the museum in 1931 in Uncasville, CT as a place to keep Mohegan treasures. USDA photo by Bob Nichols.
