Cortinarius multiformis (Fr.) Fr.

Image location: Big Lagoon County Park, Humboldt Co., California, USA

Growing in large numbers around Sitka spruce. 

Caps up to 8 cm across. 
Spores ~ 7.9-8.9 X 5.0-5.9 microns, sl. rough. 
KOH on cap appeared to be light brown. 
KOH on flesh neg.
