Description

Cortinarius rubicundulus (Rea) A. Pearson

Image location: Salt Point State Park, Sonoma Co., California, USA

Spores ~ 6.8-8.2 X 4.1-5.0 microns and moderately rough. 

Caps were a little more darker reddish-orange than seen in the photos. 
Odor was distinctive, with a raw potato element.
