Title
2010 T437 Post-Medieval silver button from near Henley, Buckinghamshire
Description
English: Post Medieval silver disc probably from a cufflink dating to the late 17th century.

Curator's report: Silver disc decorated on one side with thin attachment loop on the other, probably one part of a cufflink. The link is crushed so as to make the decoration illegible apart from the rope border.

Period: late 17th century

Discussion: The age and precious metal content of this item therefore qualify it as treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.

Dora Thornton, Curator of Renaissance Europe, British Museum
