Description
English: Date: 14th Century

Description: Damaged and incomplete silver finger ring formed of a thin, flat band: The ring is in two pieces, with just under a quarter of the band missing. The inside of the band is plain. The outside of the band is engraved with four letters 'T' aligned horizontally and resembling a Tau cross. These are interspersed with with stars, a single vertical line and a symbol of unknown significance constructed from one horizontal and two vertical lines.

Dimensions: Diameter: 20.18mm. Width: 3.81mm. Thickness: 1.06mm. Weight: 1.45 grams.

The object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal and is over 300 years old. Consequently it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996 in terms of both age and precious metal content.
