English: BURNHAM HOARD 2010 T509: item A.49: Sword - Ewart Park

Fragment of a cast copper alloy sword. 'T' bar shaped finial. There is a Rivet hole or slot just visible at broken end. There is a diagonal rib across the fragment, probably from a casting defect. One face is concave, the other is flat with an oblique line across, which is most probably a casting flaw. Circular rivet hole.

Length: 42.07mm. Weight: 22.76grams. 40.59mm wide at terminal 18.95mm wide at narrowest point 19.15mm wide at broken end (riveted end). mm thick4.54mm
