English: BURNHAM HOARD 2010 T509: item A.47: Sword - Ewart Park

Fragment of a cast copper alloy sword. Hilt plate surviving to the first rivet hole. Both sides are slightly concave. The broken edge has the remains of a circular rivet hole just visible. 'T' shaped bar with squared finials. Concave sides are not flanged.

Length: 53.87mm. Weight: 34.76 grams. 28.29mm wide at terminal 15.98mm wide at narrowest point 20.38mm wide at broken end (rivet). 5.56mm thick
