Description
Deutsch: 27.04.2010 04741 Roßwein, Südstraße: Die katholische Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche (GMP: 51.060059,13.186677) in Roßwein ist eine mit einfachen Mitteln erstellte Notkirche. Die am Stadtrand gelegene Kirche hat kein Geläut. Als die Gemeinde das Angebot erhielt, eine vom Bonifatiusverein Regensburg gestiftete Holzkirche aus Fertigteilen zu übernehmen, war die Freude groß. In Roßwein kam er in einem ehemaligen Obstgarten am Stadtrand zur Aufstellung, den der Kaplan nach langen Verhandlungen pachten durfte. Am 10. August 1958 weihte Bischof Otto Spülbeck (1904-1970) das Kirchlein dem heiligen Kreuz Jesu Christi. Ursprünglich hatte die Kirche einen traditionellen Hochaltar, der aber nach der Liturgiereform in der katholischen Kirche beseitigt wurde. Ende der 1960er Jahre stellte man den heutigen Altar auf, der ebenso wie die Stele des Tabernakels aus rotem Porphyr gefertigt ist. Von künstlerischer Bedeutung sind die vierzehn Kreuzwegstationen, die Josef Hegenbarth, der ja Professor an der Dresdner Kunstakademie war, in expressiver Spachteltechnik gemalt hat.
