Description
Deutsch: 18.04.2010 01662 Meißen: Ratsweinpresse Ratsweinberg 1 (GMP: 51.165036,13.479385). Bevor Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts die bauliche Erschließung begann, war der Ratsweinberg ein richtiger Weinberg. Außer der Ratsweinpresse und einigen Winzerhäusern gab es keine Gebäude. Daran erinnert heute nur noch das von Weinstöcken umgebene Presshaus. Das "Wohn- und Preß-Gebäude" wurde 1788 bis 1790 auf Kosten des Stadtrats am Nordhang des Höhenzugs errichtet. Die Presse, die letztmals 1912 in Betrieb war, gab man 1928 ans Stadtmuseum ab. Das Pressgebäude wurde als Jugendherberge (1911-1939), Arbeitsdienstlager (1932) und Kindergarten (1939-1996) genutzt und 1996 an den Bauunternehmer Uwe Risse verkauft, der eine Sanierung durchführte. Der Weinkeller vom Wirtschaftsforum Sächsisches Elbland für Veranstaltungen genutzt. An die Weinbauvergangenheit erinnert das Giebelrelief, das wohl um 1910 hinzugefügt wurde.
