Description
Deutsch: 17.04.2010 09306 Beerwalde (Erlau): Dorfkirche (GMP: 51.042464,12.979396). Die Dorfkirche Beerwalde ist in Neudörfchen zu finden. Nachdem das Vorgänger-Kirchlein so baufällig geworden war, dass auch Reparaturen nicht mehr halfen, beschloss der Kirchenpatron Moritz Friedrich von Milkau, ein neues Gotteshaus zu errichten. Der sächsische Landbaumeister David Schatz (1668-1750) erstellte die Baupläne. 1739 konnte die Kirche geweiht werden. Der barocke Kanzelaltar wurde von einem namentlich nicht bekannten Rochlitzer Tischler geliefert. Über dem Altartisch folgt ein reich geschmückter, mit Engelsköpfen verzierter Kanzelkorb. Die Taufe ist von der gleichen Hand gestaltet. Sie besitzt einen abnehmbaren Aufsatz und kann deshalb auch als Lesepult verwendet werden. Der ursprüngliche Logenprospekt wurde 1895 beseitigt. Was man heute an dieser Stelle sehen kann, ist die Patronatsloge aus der Kirche in Cröbern bei Borna. Sie wurde 1975 hierher gebracht, weil Kirche und Dorf dem Braunkohlentagebau weichen mussten.
