Description
Deutsch: 14.04.2010 04703 Leisnig: St. Nikolaikirche. 1540 entstand die dem heiligen Nikolaus geweihte Gottesackerkirche (GMP: 51.156162,12.926883). Der spätgotischer Flügelaltar von 1509 stand einst in der Stadtkirche. Im geschlossenen Zustand zeigt die Malerei, wie im Jerusalemer Tempel das Opfer von Anna und ihrem Mann Joachim aufgrund ihrer Unfruchtbarkeit zurückgewiesen wird. Rechts ist die Begegnung Annas mit Joachim an der Goldenen Pforte des Tempes dargestellt, ein Bildmotiv, das die unbefleckte Empfängnis der Jungfrau Maria versinnbildlicht. Unten sieht man die zweite Tochter Annas, Maria Kleophas, und ihre Kinder Jakobus der Jüngere, Barnabas, Simon Zelotes und Judas Thadäus, sowie die dritte Tochter, Maria Salome, die Mutter von Jakobus dem Älteren und Johannes Evangelist. Auf der Predella ist das Martyrium der zehntausend Ritter und der heiligen Ursula mit ihren elftausend Jungfrauen dargestellt. Die beiden Schnitzfiguren auf dem Altar gehören nicht zum ursprünglichen Bestand, stammen aber gleichfalls aus dem frühen 16. Jahrhundert. [DSCN41085.TIF]20100414130DR.JPG(c)Blobelt
