Description
Deutsch: 18.08.2009 04668 Pomßen (Parthenstein): Dorfkirche (GMP: 51.239047,12.613028). Die romanische Wehrkirche mit Westturm und Elementen der Gotik gilt als eine der wertvollsten sächsischen Dorfkirchen im Leipziger Land und im Raum der Vereinigten Mulde. In ihr befindet sich die älteste spielbare Orgel Sachsens. Die ältesten Teile der Kirche, romanische Kapitelle, Apsis und romanische Fenster, stammen aus dem 13. Jahrhundert. Auf das 15. Jahrhundert gehen Mauerdurchbruch vom Kirchenschiff zum Turm, der Türbogen aus Rochlitzer Porphyr und der Taufstein zurück. Von 1536 bis 1782 waren die Herren von Ponickau Besitzer von Gut und Schloß Pomßen. Damit waren sie auch Patronatsherren der Kirche. In ihrer Zeit entstand im Wesentlichen die heutige Ausstattung der Kirche. In ihr befindet sich die älteste spielbare Orgel Sachsens. 1974 wurde die Kirche außen erneuert. Sicht von Südosten.
