Description
English: Well, it looks like layers, but the sequence is out of order.

At the top is my 1989 MS Thesis from Arizona State University, http://dommy.com/alan/theses_feces.html. It was written in Word 3 on a Mac Plus, and I have yet to find an old Mac I can run Word 4 (which I bought on eBay) to upgrade it to a version that might open with a modern piece of software.
Like that's a high priority project ;-)
Below that is a box of photos of a small volcanic eruption at Mount St Helens on August 7,1980-- this was unique because a USGS photographer took a time lapse series of photos form which flow velocities could be determine. I spend a year in 1991 on research and writing to co-author a 4 part article in Geology:
"Hydraulics of the August 7,1980, pyroclastic flow at Mount St. Helens, Washington" Geology; November 1991; v. 19; no. 11; p. 1121-1124 (http://geology.geoscienceworld.org/cgi/content/abstract/19/11/1121 getting a PDF will cost me $35!)

And on bottom is the Bible (then) of Ash-Flow Tuffs (good reading material for sleepless nights) and this is so old there's nothing online but citations.
