2008 T177 Post Medieval Thimble
Description
English: Post Medieval silver thimble fragment, decorated with an incised double line forming an inverted 'V' with a plain band, 7.32mm wide at the base. There are circular punches over the remaining surface. The fragment is 21.60mm long, 16.96mm wide, 0.63mm thick, and weighs 1.42 grams.

British Museum report:

A tiny fragment of silver thimble. Silver sheet with chevron design.

17th Century.

Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
