Description

Nitro. The FG Falcon was built from Feb 2008 to Dec 2014. The FG was a completely new car, this 7th generation Falcon was the safest Falcon ever made. Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) produced the performance models for Ford Australia, they operated from 2003-2014. For the FG range, sedans available were; the GS, GT, GT-P, GT-F, (V8s) and the F6 and F6E Turbo 6s, Utilities; GS, Pursuit, Super Pursuit, Sedans and F6 Turbo 6. The F6 was first introduced by Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) in 2004 on the BA Mk II, it was based on Fords XR6 Turbo 4.0 but got a modified FPV airbox (with Dual Ram Air intakes), higher strength conrods, larger air to air intercooler, high flow exhaust system, higher capacity fuel pump, giving it 270kw on the BA and BF, sedans and utes. With the FG, the 4.0L Turbo engine was further enhanced, with power increased to 310 kW and better suspension.

Available from Sept 2009, was the F6E, it incorporates the luxury features of the GTE but with the turbocharged six cylinder engine from the F6, rather than the GTEs 5.0 V8.
