Deutsch: 18.10.2008 01824 Kurort Rathen (Sächsische Schweiz): Sicht von Süden über Rathen mit Burg Altrathen (GMP: 50.958698,14.080620). Das burgähnliches Gebäude am Hang ist
heute Hotel und Gaststätte. Das Gemäuer stammt selbst nicht aus dem Mittelalter, steht aber über den Grundmauern einer echten Burg. In Rathen bestand seit dem 13. Jh. ein Herrensitz, der dem König von Böhmen untergeben war. Von der alten Burg aus dem 15 Jh. ist nur das Gewölbe des untersten Geschosses des ehemaligen Wohnturms erhalten geblieben (gleich neben dem Eingangstor). Die übrigen Burggebäude wurden Ende des 19 Jh. errichtet, als Eduard Seifert aus Dresden die Ruine erwroben hatte. Er eröffnete 1903 auf dem Burgfelsen eine beliebte Ausflugsgaststätte/Hotel, die bewußt altertümlich wirken soll und auch einen Rittersaal besitzt. 1945 enteignet und an den VEB Brau und Malz Dresden übergeben. Danach nutzte die Staatsbank der DDR den Herrensitz als Ferien- und Schulungsheim. Seit 1995 ist die Burg Altrathen wieder für alle zugänglich. Im Hintergrund der Felsen "Lokomotive".
