Description
Deutsch: 04.07.2008 01326 Dresden-Hosterwitz: Dresdner Straße 101 (GMP: 51.018635,13.862426). Das Landhaus stammt aus dem 2. Viertel des 19. Jahrhunderts. 1841 wohnte hier der Hofmarschall von Gertung, danach die Glaskünstler Leopold Blaschka und Rudolf Blaschka. Beide haben unvorstellbar naturalistische Pflanzen und Meerestiernachbildungen in Glas gestaltet, die heute im Harvard Museum Cambridge zu sehen sind. Ab 1890 arbeiten die Blaschkas nur noch für die Harvard Universität Cambridge. Als Leopold 1895 stirbt, arbeitet Rudolf allein weiter. Über 3000 Modelle entstehen. Die Genauigkeit der Darstellung fasziniert noch heute die Wissenschaftler - "THE GLASS FLOWERS AT HAVARD". Heute bewohnt der Installationskünstler Arne Nowak das Haus Dresdner Straße 101. Mit dem Projekt "Colorbeach" in Prora auf Rügen plant der Kunstorganisator aus Dresden 2009 die größte Open-Air-Galerie der Welt. [DSCN33335.TIF]20080704180DR.JPG(c)Blobelt
