English: 2007 T117: Medieval gilded silver finger-ring from Pinhoe, Devon.

Description: A medieval gilded silver finger-ring with flat hoop and separately applied quatrefoil bezel. The outside of the hoop is decorated with engraved patterns which are very similar to those seen on a 12th- to 13th-century gilded silver ring from Thearne, Yorkshire (2002 T301), featured in the PAS Annual Report, 2002. The quatrefoil decoration is similar to a16th-century ring from Parnham, Suffolk (2003 T319) which is featured in the PAS 2003 Annual Report. Two of the petals on the quatrefoil are broken away and the gilding has worn away in places.
