Description
Deutsch: 17.09.2007 01309 Dresden-Striesen, Sickingenstraße 3 (GMP: 51.049927,13.792645): Das 1903 erbaute Mietshaus gehörte Bäckermeister Bruno Friedrich Schreiber. Zur üblichen Ausstattung der Eingangsbereiche gehören die farbig dekorierten Mettlacher Fliesen, die so im Boden verlegt sind, dass sich teppichartige Flächenmuster ergeben. Es handelt sich um industriell gefertigte Fliesen aus Steinzeugmasse. Das Herstellungsverfahren wurde 1869 von Villeroy & Boch in Mettlach im Saarland entwickelt. Die Mettlacher Fliesen, die man in Dresdner Hausfluren in großer Fülle findet, kommen nicht aus Mettlach, sondern aus Dresden selbst, denn Villeroy & Boch hatten 1856 in der sächsischen Hauptstadt ein Niederlassung gegründet. Der Industriebetrieb in der Leipziger Vorstadt fertigte vor allem Baukeramik. Hier die Bodenfliesen an der Haustür. [DSCN29676.TIF]20070917060DR(c)Blobelt
