Deutsch: 15.03.2007 01069 Dresden-Seevorstadt Ost, Bürgerwiese: Nymphenbrunnen "Badende" (GMP: 51.040492,13.744955). Nymphen waren die Töchter des griechischen Gottvaters Zeus. Einige von ihnen schützten das Wasser und förderten die Fruchbarkeit. Die Plastik stammt vom Bildhauer Bruno Fischer, Sieger eines Gestaltungswettberwerbs von 1901. Sein Gipsmodell "Badende" bekam zur großen Dresdner Kunstausstellung 1904 viel Anerkennung und so bekam er den Auftrag, das Modell in Marmor umzusetzen und die Plastik für einen Brunnen zu verwenden. Die Steinmetzarbeiten der Brunnenanlage, des Beckens und Sockelaufbaues wurden in Lausitzer Granit ausgeführt. Der Wasserspeier ist eine mysteriöse menschenähnliche Fratze. Seit 1908 ist der Brunne in Betrieb. Keinen nennenswerten Kriegsschäden. Seit 1991 wird das Wasserspiel durch einen Computer geregelt. [DSCN21426.TIF]20070315015DR.JPG(c)Blobelt |
