Deutsch: 15.04.2006 01558 Großenhain, Schloßplatz 1: Kulturhaus Schloß Großenhain (GMP: 51.290094,13.533649). Nur der Turm ist historisch. Im 13. Jahrhundert wurde der Bergfried errichtet. Nach einem Brand ließ Kurfürst August die Schloßgebäude 1557 wiederherstellen. Das Schloß war Verwaltungssitz. Im Dreißigjährigen Krieg wurde es sehr beschädigt. Im 18. Jahrhundert wurde das baufällige Schloß nicht mehr benötigt. Eine Ruine blieb zurück. Im 19. Jahrhundert siedelte sich auf dem Schloßgelände eine Garn- und Tuchfabrik an. 1856 entstand der viergeschossige, durch Rundbogenfenster gegliederte Fabrikbau, der bis heute das Aussehen des Schlosses bestimmt. Die 1934 eingerichtete Spinnerei wurde 1951 durch den VEB Ofenbau Großenhain abgelöst. 1967 zog die Fabrik aus. 1999 fiel die Entscheidung, das Schloß zum städtischen Kulturzentrum auszubauen, das dann 2002 zur
