Description
English: This is my second shot of the Hollywood Park Racetrack on approach to LAX in 2005. Here the view is from the north, rather than the south. From this view you can also see how cared for it was, with a nice pavilion, tended grass and tracks, and fountains in the fake ponds.

Note that there are inner and outer tracks. Watch how those change over the course of the next few photos.

This was also in this year that Churchill Downs Incorporated sold the track to the Bay Meadows Land Company, owned by Stockbridge Capital Group for $260 million in cash. This was good for the private capital business, but doom for the track.
