Mercury Silver. The BA Falcon was built from Sept 2002- Oct 2005. The BA was a major update on the AU, all panels were changed except the doors, interior new as well, now a lot better looking car. All sedans now got independent rear suspension. The 4.0 6 cyl was improved too, and a turbocharged version was available in the XR6. The Windsor 5.0 V8 was replaced by the Modular 5.4 V8. Models available were the base XT, then Futura, Fairmont and Fairmont Ghia. Sporty models were the XR6 (Turbo option) and XR8. Available at FPV (Ford Performance Vehicles) were GT, GT-P and F6 Typhoon sedans, Pursuit and Tornado Utes. The V8 FPV vehicles put out 290kw from the Boss 290 5.4 (270kw from the 4.0 Turbo 6 cyl) This car is a step above the top of the line FPV GT-P, built as a joint venture between Dick Johnson Racing and Herrod Motorsport.
