Description
English: FIG. 8. Body regions of an actinedid mite. The prosoma is divided into propodosoma and metapodosoma. The gnathosoma is formed by the ventral parts of anterior body segments. The hysterosoma consists of the fused metapodosoma and opisthosoma. Dorsal sclerites of the proterosoma and opisthosoma are called prodorsum and notogaster respectively [modified from Moritz et al. (1994)]. 19
