English: Baha Liurai. This is the offer which now called 'Iluwai Malu bu' (the spit and the bettle nut). Spit symbolize the blessing of the ancestors and the land. Malu bu = the left over of the betel-nut of the ancestors (male and female ancestors are all important here). Every single member of the village will receive their share. Those who live overseas also counted here. |
