Deutsch: 30.09.2004 99880 Waltershausen: Schloß Tenneberg (GMP: 50.895508,10.552120). Das Schloß Tenneberg ist der Rest einer mittelalterlichen Spornburganlage der Thüringer Landgrafen, die durch mehrfache Umbauten als Jagdschloß und Nebenresidenz der Gothaer Herzöge diente und gegenwärtig als Museum genutzt wird. Bereits 1168 trat ein Burgmann Heidenreich von Tenneberg in Erscheinung. Die Vierflügelanlage stammt aus dr Renaissance, Hauptbauzeit war Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts. Arkadengang an der Hofseite des Ostflügels 17. Jahrhundert. Im Westflügel Festsaal, im Südflügel Kapelle, beide vermutl. nach Entwürfen des Herzoglich Gothaischen Oberbaudirektors Wolf Christoph Zorn von Plobsheim (um 1720).
