Deutsch: 28.06.2004 18513 Turow (Glewitz): Wasserschloß (GMP: 54.040249,12.946588). Im Kern mittelalterlich, 12. Jahrhundert, 1387 erste urkundliche Erwähnung. Schloß Turow ist eine frühere Wasserburg, die sich heute, mehrfach verändert, als eine Anlage aus Burg und Gutshof, umgeben von einer Parkanlage im englischen Stil, darstellt. Gutsbesitzer waren in oft rascher Folge adlige Familien verschiedener Herkunft. Die ersten namentlich nachweisbaren Eigentümer waren Mitglieder der Familie Lüssow (1387 bis 1409). Es folgte das rügische Adelsgeschlecht Bonow von 1414 bis 1636, unter welchem die baulichen Erweiterungen stattfanden. Während und nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde die Burg Turow zeitweise als Schule genutzt. Im Jahre 1957 gelangte die Anlage ins Eigentum des späteren Landeskirchen-Gemeinschaftsverbandes Vorpommern.
